Mimetika was founded by Yael Marantz in 2015. She is the principle advisor and brings in multi-disciplinary teams through a modular, network-based approach.
Yael is one of the co-founders and stewards of Brave Earth, a living lab for regeneration. Here she is immersing herself in the wisdom of biomimicry and community design, prototyping a model for a post-capitalist community project in Costa Rica.
Fascinated by alternative experiments in living, Yael was the Communications Director for Global Ecovillage Network (GEN), a not-for-profit that catalyzes the power of communities for a regenerative world. She became involved with GEN after several years of visiting and researching ecovillages and completing her masters dissertation on How we can reimagine communities through the lens of Biomimicry, Biophilia and Living Labs.
Prior to that she was a senior strategist at brand, design and innovation consultancy Wolff Olins in New York, leading design-thinking and innovation processes for an array of Fortune 500 clients and not-for-profit organizations.
